FAQs
Q: Do I need a website?
A: If you have
been asked by clients or
potential clients if you have a website or how they can view your
website and you were
embarrassed
to say "No" then the answer is, Yes, it's time for a website! Consumers
seeking every kind of service will look for information about your your company
online. From your operating hours to your location(s) and a means of contacting
you, most consumers will go to the web for this information. A web presence
is your opportunity to show your potential customers what sets you apart from
your competitors. Is it your experience in the industry? Is it your competitive
pricing? Maybe it's it your quality of work and customer service. This is your
opportunity to expand your marketing strategy to it's fullest potential. Your
website is also an extension of your business reaching audiences beyond what
other means of advertising can accomplish including radio, television, flyers,
signage and billboards. The World Wide Web is everywhere, from personal computers
in the home and work place and mobile devices in between. Your website will
provide the information that your audience is seeking whether they came to your
site by mention via the above means or by search engine lookups. This
is your opportunity to provide information and to promote your business beyond
what you can accomplish in other ways.
Q: What is the cost for purchasing a domain name?
A: Your domain name is
an integral part of your online presence. For many their business name can
be used as at least a part of the domain name they choose. It is important

A: Along with a minimal cost for securing your domain name (approximately
$10/yr) you can expect to pay a hosting provider to house your website (GoDaddy

Q: How involved will I need to be in this process?
A: The main areas in which you can expect to be
heavily involved in the development of your website are the initial phase
which includes discussing your likes and dislikes, work you've seen that
you want to incorporate into your site and providing all content (text, images,
your logo). See
the getting started page and review the checklist to prepare yourself in
moving forward. Once your project is under developement, you can expect
to spend the necessary time to review the site after the initial launch,
or preview phase. Remember no one knows your business as well as you do.
We will of course offer our expertise in editing and look and design, but
the bulk of the content in your site will come from you. We want to take
your message and recreate it on the web.
Q: What should I include in my website?
A: Of course the answer to this question is specific to
your business and your audience. Mainly you want to know who your audience
is and then provide the information and tools they will be seaking. This
can be as simple as information about
your products and services, how to contact you, information about your business
or organization and job opportunties.
You also want to market yourself as much as possible by including testimonials
from satisfied customers and showcasing your work. Provide useful information
and keep your content fresh by answering industry specific questions and
providing industry related news. By keeping your website content fresh you
will keep visitors coming back. It's repeat visitors who will spread the
word about your company.
Q: How much will this cost me?
A: Most sites start at $1500 for a static 5 page
site. Various other factors like logo design, photo retouching (or photo
